Hi Rush,
There's an update to the above specs:
* Official EPA range is 59 miles (bit that is more like a CYA figure) most people will get somewhere between 70 and 85 miles range. 59 is more of a worse-case scenario where people have the AC blasting on MAX and are constantly engaging the "Sport Mode" instead of the "Eco Mode" and as such driving it at the new:
* New official top speed of: 68 mph.
Pro-tip: you can actually achieve a top speed of around 74 mph by swapping the tyres out for a slightly taller version. But expect to have an even lower range if you achieve these higher speeds because you will generate more wind resistance.
And yet, another pro-tip is you may regain even more mileage at high speeds if you fold your rear view mirrors into the car or remove them completely and replace them with rear-facing cameras like as with the Aptera.
Not this year but next year Kandi engineers are planning to also incorporate a fast-charger. If so, mileage may also be lesser of an issue because envision being able to fully recharge your K27 in about 10 minutes!! Woohoo!!
I'm hoping that if they do make the high speed chargers available to next year's models that they will offer a way for the early adopters who bought the initial batch of K23s and K27 to also enjoy the benefits of fast-charging, hopefully at no additional cost.
Because, just think for a moment, what A Tesla might consider "fast charging" a Kandi would consider ultra-fast charging. (many more miles per minute of charge) (likely about 4 miles per minute) (not bad)
